The architect Margarte Schütte-Lihotzky wanted her “Frankfurt kitchen” to be furnished “like a pharmacy where every little bottle and every little thing has its very own compartment or its very specific place with precise labeling (…)”. An important element of this vision were the aluminium drawers, the “Schütten”.
