What do we describe as modern? And what as kitschy?
On a tour of the permanent exhibition, you will learn about the role the Werkbund played in questions of taste and in the design developments of modernism. What makes a classic of packaging design, which companies still characterise ideas of modern design today? In the museum you will gain an insight into the industrial culture of the 20th and 21st centuries and can vividly understand how new production methods changed the appearance of everyday objects.
In the open depot, you can also discover lots of old and new, real and fake, expensive and cheap items in the everyday culture collection. In addition to a general tour of the museum, it is also possible to arrange focal points for the permanent and temporary exhibitions.
There is an additional charge of 15 € for a guided tour outside opening hours.
