The exhibition “Designing for Berlin. Design from the Academy of Art Berlin-Weißensee” features lots of posters – including Claudia Schramke’s take on the Berlinale bear. The bears in her posters are made up of just lines, dots and blocks of colour. So why can we still recognise them so easily? How many lines does it take to draw a bear? You’ll take a close look at what bears look like and how they move.

Then it’s time to make bears of your own. Play with graphic techniques, chance, stencils and plenty of colour to create bears that are dotted, drawn or printed, large or small.
